Portland West Middle School is located just across the street from Portland High School.  PWM first opened in August of 2009.  The faculty and staff have continued to work hard educating students.  During the 2014-2015 school year, PWMS achieved the highest TVAAS growth scores for math comparison in Sumner County, and the 3rd highest math comparison score in the state (out of 632 schools) andwas named a 2015 TN Reward School! Then in 2022, PWMS again earned the distinction of being a TN Reward School!!! 

The members of PWM strive to build on past success and continually improve through quality teaching and extracurricular programs.  By inviting parents to contact us and through parent portal, we maintain open lines of communication with our students, parents, and community.  Come check us out and see what your kids are learning!
